Location
This position is required to work in person at Tyandaga Golf Course. This position is required to work outdoors in all range of climate conditions.
Position Overview
Summer students at Tyandaga Golf Course will enjoy working outdoors whatever the weather as part of a team responsible for the maintenance of the golf course. This involves functions such as grass cutting, weeding, trimming, bunker raking, and other course maintenance functions. You must be a morning person as your day is most likely to begin before the sun rises. This position, when required, may work up to 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities
Students may be required to operate a range of vehicles and equipment such as riding mowers, utility vehicles, string trimmers and blowers. Will be responsible for completing many physical tasks in a timely manner ensuring that appropriate safety precautions are taken during such tasks.

Requirements
Returning students and new applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be available to start work May 1st.
- Must be able to work every other weekend in September.
- Possess a valid G2 driver’s licence with an acceptable driver’s abstract (no more than three (3) driving related convictions or an accumulation of no more than three (3) demerit points in the previous three (3) years prior to the date of hire).
- Attend and complete mandatory safety training
- Be willing to work outdoors in all range of climate conditions
- Possess strong interpersonal skills
- Be available to work shifts and weekends.
- Be attending or returning to school in the fall of 2024 on a full-time basis. Please note that if you are selected for an interview, you will be required to show proof at the interview.
- Relevant experience will be considered when the hiring team is making interview selections.
- For returning students, submission of a reapplication does not guarantee an automatic rehire. You must have received a performance evaluation of standard or above standard in a previous year.
- Preference will be given to students available to work weekends September.
