Under the general supervision of the Head Golf Professional and working within established policies, procedures, and guidelines. This position is responsible for performing the outdoor ‘starter/cart attendant’ duties during the afternoon/evenings while providing supervision and contributing to a positive and memorable customer experience.

Golf Operations is looking for one (1) Team Lead for the 2024 season and beyond. This position compensates at a rate of $22.40 per hour as well as an additional $1.43 per hour in lieu of benefits, and vacation pay in accordance with Employment Standards Legislation.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • The successful candidate must be outgoing, friendly and deliver outstanding guest service on a consistent basis.
  • Strong supervisory/communication skills using diplomacy in a public setting dealing with customers complaints while enforcing policies and regulations
  • Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods, bend, lift overhead and carry up to 40 pounds while working in outdoor environment(s).
  • Driver’s license required.
EXPERIENCE
  • Some knowledge of golf and etiquette.
  • Knowledge of NPC facilities and relevant health and safety procedures.
  • Familiarity with basic computer operations and accessing the internet.
  • Previous supervisory experience is an asset.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Greet guests in a prompt and professional manner upon arrival.
  • Perform course starter and cart attendant functions.
  • Monitor/assist on-course rangers to ensure smooth operations and pace of play expectations are met.
  • Responsible for ensuring all golf carts/utility vehicles are clean, accounted for and locked and armed in the cart building at the end of the evening.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all rental clubs, 2-way radios and other related assets are accounted for and locked armed in the starter/rental room at the end of the evening.
  • Complies with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, First Aid, CPR and established policies and procedures.
  • Always adhere to NPC Code of Conduct.
  • Assist in other course functions as needed/assigned.
SHIFT EXPECTATIONS
  • Shifts will generally be from 1:00pm – 9:00pm
  • 5 shifts/week (40 hours per week) depending on weather.
  • Season duration is typically from mid-April until end of October.
  • Expected to be able to work weekends.
