Full job description
The Golf Pro conducts golf lessons and manages staff and daily operations of a pro golf shop. Management-level associates are expected to work as much of each workday as is necessary to complete their job responsibilities; for OEM associates, overtime does apply and is calculated accordingly.
Exempt managers must customarily and regular direct the work of at least 3 full-time associates or their equivalents. Primary duties must consist of administrative, executive, or professional tasks more than 50 percent of the time and job duties must also involve the use of discretion and independent judgement more than 50 percent of the time.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Typically requires a high school diploma and at least 6 years of experience.
- Has satisfied all levels to become a PGA professional.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the field's concepts and principles.
- Performs complex tasks typically following established processes.
- Leads and directs the work of other employees and has full authority for personnel decisions.
- Primarily focused on administering established policies and procedures but may have some impact on departmental budgeting, strategic planning, and procedural change.
- Physical stamina. Time management skills. Organizational skills.
- Customer/client orientation. Leadership skills. Management skills.
- Sees that store merchandise including clubs, balls, tees and other golf equipment or apparel have a proper inventory level.
- Collects fees from players for each round of golf played and initiates discounts and or promotions for tee times.
- Builds relationships with members to enhance long-term revenue gains and increase enrollment.
- Liaisons with merchandise and service vendors, and coordinates outside staff activities.
- Sets policies for administering golf tournaments including schedules, rules, hole assignments, tee times, pairings, and scorecards.
- Provides golf lessons to members and other golfers; schedules golf lessons, clinics, and develops instruction guidelines for other golf pros
