Golf New Zealand is searching for a talented Social Media and Content Specialist to join our marketing team, based in Auckland. Golf New Zealand is searching for a talented Social Media and Content Specialist to join our marketing team, based in Auckland. This is your chance to work with a leading sports organisation that is committed to growing the game for everybody to enjoy.
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to showcase your skills in content creation and social media management across a variety of projects, from national participation initiatives like She Loves Golf to high-profile tournaments and much more. You will create engaging content, manage our social media presence, and support key campaigns that inspire increased participation in golf.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Content Creation:
- Develop, shoot, and edit high-quality video content.
- Collaborate with the marketing and commercial team to plan and execute content for campaigns, events, and promotions.
- Produce content at key domestic tournaments and events, highlighting the players, courses, fans, and industry personalities.
- Work with our commercial, industry, and district partners to deliver engaging content.
- Produce written content to cover key events, including domestic and international tournaments.
- Design social graphics in collaboration with the marketing team.
- Manage and grow our social media presence and engagement by creating unique and shareable content tailored to each platform, including Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in social media, and content creation, to ensure our strategies remain innovative and effective.
- Engage with our online community by responding to comments, messages, and enquiries.
- Monitor and analyse the performance of content across channels, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Proven experience in videography, video editing, and graphic design.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms.
- Excellent storytelling ability.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Extensive knowledge of social media platforms.
- Experienced in Meta Business Suite and both paid and organic content.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Energetic, highly motivated, enthusiastic, and considerate.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for sport and understanding of the golfing landscape in New Zealand (a plus).
