Our state of the art golfing facilities include our 2 level floodlit 54 bay driving range powered by Top Tracer Technology, lessons with our knowledgeable PGA & WPGA professional golf instructors in our industry leading Golf Learning Centre that is equipped with Trackman 4 launch monitors, a challenging 18 holes putt putt course that is themed for 5 months of the year along with a large retail store that stocks an extensive range of the world’s most iconic brands of golf equipment, hardware, apparel, footwear and golf merchandise.

Our team provide expert golf services which includes golf club custom fitting, golf lessons, golf equipment repairs and alterations as well as retail advice.

Reporting to our Golf Shop Manager, we are seeking a passionate retail expert to work on a full time basis, with extensive golf retail knowledge and the ability to connect with customers to help them with their golfing needs. They will also have an exceptional eye for the detail and creative flair required to excel at visual merchandising and the drive to exceed sales targets set.

Key responsibilities include

• 
  Delivering exceptional customer service
• 
  Provide expert advice on golf equipment, apparel, and accessories based on customer needs
• 
  Upsell and recommend additional products to enhance the customer experience
• 
  Educate customers on golf equipment, club fitting, and apparel features
• 
  Engage with guests to promote events and special offers
• 
  Address customer inquiries, returns, and concerns promptly and professionally
• 
  Building and maintaining relationships with existing and new customers
• 
  Managing our weekly equipment demo night schedule
• 
  Driving retail sales as well as contributing positively to the Golf Operations overall performance
• 
  Responsible for visual merchandising of golf equipment
• 
  Communicate restocking needs to management
• 
  Assist with Pro Shop Equipment inventory control & product pricing when required
• 
  Assist with golf equipment repairs and alterations (not essential however experience with this is a plus)
• 
  Partnering with our Apparel & Footwear Sales Manager
• 
  Assist with product and sales technique training and coaching of casual retail team members
• 
  Maintain a clean and orderly workspace, including fitting rooms and checkout areas

Success in this role will require -

• 
  Previous retail or customer service experience (golf industry experience is a plus)
• 
  Passion for golf
• 
  Engaging people skills – approachable, active listener and effective influencer
• 
  Retail experience in a high volume, fast paced environment
• 
  Self motivation and drive to exceed customer expectations
• 
  Sound computer literacy & POS systems skills
• 
  The ability to work across a variety of shift times including weekends, public holidays & planned sale periods
• 
  The ability to work within a large team (Currently 36, including 16 PGA Professionals)
• 
  Stay informed about the latest golf products, trends, and technology

Victoria Park trades until late each day and our preferred roster for this role includes lunchtime to evening shifts Tues to Fri along with a day shift on Saturday’s to capture key sales for the business.
