What You Will Be Doing

The Senior Pharmacist is responsible for day-to-day supervision of Pharmacy Department at Golf Links Road (GLR).

Operational supervision of these services includes:
• Clinical Service Delivery for Inpatient Rehabilitation and Palliative Care and Home Based GEM, Rehabilitation and Palliative Care ("Better at Home")
• Medication purchasing, storage and supply
• Occupational health and safety of pharmacy staff
• Staff supervision, development and support
• Management of staff performance and service delivery
• Investigating and responding to incidents in areas of accountability

Key Responsibilities

• Provide and supervise dispensing, distribution and clinical pharmacy services.
• Carry our responsibilities of the Pharmacist Regularly and Usually in Charge as defined by the Victorian Pharmacy Authority
• Oversee pharmacy revenue and expenditure and proactively identify, manage or escalate issues as identified.
• Monitor risks and proactively identify, manage or escalate identified risks according to the Peninsula Health Clinical Risk Management Framework.
• Ensure all service delivery and medication management is consistent with National Standards, relevant legislation, guidelines and codes of conduct.

What You Need

We anticipate you will have:
• Registered as a pharmacist with the Australian Health Practitioners Registration Authority without limitations
• Establishes positive effective relationships in the work environment
• Demonstrated ability to supervise a team to achieve best patient outcomes
• Able to communicate effectively with team members, clinical staff and managers
• Demonstrated personal organisation skill with excellent communication and liaison skills.
• a current driver's license

*Please refer to salary circular for Victorian Public Health Sector (Medical Scientists, Pharmacists and Psychologists) 2021 - 2025 Enterprise Agreement for salary range. Sub-grading will be based on years of experience.
