Responsibilities:
Purchase Planning
- Finalize the purchase range based on the Senior Buyer's buying strategy.
- Prepare buy sheets and purchase orders (POs).
- Monitor SKU-level performance and recommend reorders for Core and Open-to-Buy (OTB) products.
- For Senior Buyer: Lead seasonal buying strategy, assortment planning, vendor selection, and category performance.
Stock Management & Inventory
- Monitor in-season sales performance and stock coverage.
- Recommend reorders, order reductions, or order cancellations based on sales and inventory analysis.
- Track delivery schedules and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries.
Data Management
- Maintain item master data by creating and updating product codes.
- Review and update end-of-season product timelines in the system.
- Analyze category performance and identify opportunities to improve sales, profitability, and inventory productivity.
Cross-functional Execution
- Collaborate with Merchandising, Pricing, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to optimize product availability and inventory performance.
- Execute buying and inventory strategies aligned with business objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, Merchandising, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 3–5 years of experience in retail buying, merchandising, purchasing, or a related field.
- Must have experience or strong knowledge of golf equipment, including clubs, balls, bags, accessories, and related products.
- Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
Required Competencies
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical ability.
- Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills.
- Able to work in a fast-paced retail environment and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in sporting goods, lifestyle, or retail buying.
- Experience using merchandising or ERP systems.
- Knowledge of inventory planning, OTB management, and demand forecasting.
