- Supervise student athletes at before, during and after practices and competitions, including during transportation to and from contests until all athletes are with parents/guardians.
- Possess knowledge of sport, skills and techniques from fundamentals to game planning and strategies appropriate to the level of competition.
- Possess knowledge of rules of sport and ability to relay and enforce those rules to student athletes.
- Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills and possesses the ability to work with student athletes and communicate with parents.
- Create a physically and emotionally safe environment for student athletes.
- Model and teach ethical behavior.
- Ability to perform assigned duties.
- Knowledge of first aid and emergency procedures.
