Retail Operations Manager – Golf Equipment & Services
Drummond Golf is Australia’s largest specialty golf retailer, offering leading global brands, expert advice and advanced golf fitting technology. Our Dee Why superstore is seeking an experienced and commercially focused Retail Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of the business and drive strong sales and customer outcomes.
This is a full-time, senior hands-on role suited to an experienced retail manager who enjoys leading teams, managing operations and working in a fast-paced specialty retail environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the daily operation of the store, ensuring efficient, compliant and customer-focused trading
• Lead, supervise and motivate a team of full-time, part-time and casual staff
• Prepare rosters, manage staffing levels and support performance management
• Drive sales performance through KPI management, sales targets and budget accountability
• Manage inventory control including ordering, replenishment, stocktakes and loss prevention
• Maintain high standards of visual merchandising, store presentation and ticketing accuracy
• Deliver outstanding customer service, including golf equipment advice and fitting services
• Implement local marketing initiatives, in-store promotions and community engagement activities
• Ensure compliance with WHS, retail legislation and franchise operating standards
• Act as the senior manager on duty during trading hours, including weekends
Skills & Experience:
• Proven experience (minimum 2–3 years) in retail store management
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop retail teams
• Demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets and manage KPIs
• Experience with stock control, ordering systems and supplier coordination
• Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
• Passion for customer service and specialty retail
• Golf industry or sporting retail experience highly regarded, but not essential
