Are you an experienced retail professional with a passion for customer service and a solid understanding of golf? Golf Clearance Outlet is looking for a driven and ambitious Assistant Store Manager / 2IC to join our team.
In this hands-on role, you will support the business owner, help lead the team, drive store performance and deliver a great experience for every customer. This opportunity would suit someone who is confident on the shop floor, has a positive can-do attitude, shows initiative and is keen to grow into a stronger leadership role.
An annual salary package with superannuation is on offer and can be negotiated based on experience and skills. An incentive program and genuine opportunity for growth in the business are also available for the right candidate.
What you will do
· Help customers choose the right products and provide knowledgeable, friendly advice.
· Support the Store Manager with daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
· Keep the store clean, organised and ready for busy trading periods.
· Lead, motivate and support team members during shifts, helping create a positive and accountable team culture.
· Handle peak periods with confidence while maintaining strong outcomes for customers and the business.
· Assist with stock handling, merchandising and replenishment.
· Help drive sales, improve store performance and deliver excellent customer service.
· Show initiative by identifying opportunities to improve the store, support the team and build customer loyalty.
· Assist with club repairs and alterations where required.
What you will bring
· Previous experience in a similar retail, sales or leadership role is preferred, but not essential.
· Drive, ambition and a genuine desire to develop your leadership skills.
· Initiative, ownership and the confidence to step up when needed.
· Availability to work weekends and busy trading periods, with balance built into the roster.
· Solid golf knowledge or a strong willingness to learn.
· A friendly, confident communication style and a genuine enjoyment of helping customers.
· A team-first attitude and a commitment to contributing to a safe, enjoyable and successful workplace culture.
