Canberra International Golf Centre is seeking an experienced and passionate Retail and Golf Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our Golf Shop. This is a key leadership role ideal for someone with strong golf knowledge, retail expertise, and a focus on delivering outstanding customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all retail and golf shop operations, ensuring smooth service and efficiency.
- Provide expert advice on golf gear and apparel, manage special orders, and support club fitting and repair.
- Build vendor relationships and oversee merchandising, seasonal displays, and sales promotions.
- Lead inventory management including stocktakes, SKU controls, and POS systems.
- Recruit, train, roster, and manage shop staff to deliver top-tier service.
- Drive revenue through strategic planning, cost control, and operational improvement.
- Maintain compliance with safety standards, policies, and procedures.
- Contribute to business planning as part of the venue’s leadership team.
About You:
- Strong knowledge of golf and retail; PGA qualification or club fitting skills are a bonus.
- Proven experience managing retail operations, budgets, and inventory.
- Exceptional communication, customer service, and leadership skills.
- Confident with POS systems, multitasking, and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
