Job Description
Summary/objective
Provide bag, golf cart, and range services to members and guests.
Essential functions
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.
- Brings golf carts from cart shelter to cart staging area outside Golf Pro Shop; checks golf carts for tire pressure, brake operation, and other safety considerations.
- Loads bags from bag storage room or member/guest vehicles onto golf carts.
- Transports range balls to each end of range and fills appropriate containers.
- Places baskets of balls at evenly spaced intervals on range.
- Operates tractor and ball picker on range to retrieve balls.
- Washes all range balls daily.
- Removes bags from golf carts and returns bags to assigned rack in bag storage room.
- Returns golf carts to cart shelter; removes towels, pencils, score cards, tees, drink cans, etc. from golf carts and saves reusable items; checks carts for damage; washes golf cart with pressure cleaner; parks cart in the shelter and connects charger cable.
- Advises Pro Shop of clubs/belongings found on the range and adds to lost and found.
- Cleans all clubs for members and guests; cleans and maintains the club's rental equipment.
- Maintains cleanliness and order in bag storage room.
- Attends staff meetings.
- Performs other appropriate tasks as assigned by the Head Golf Professional.
- Knowledgeable about the game of golf and its rules.
- Knowledge of and ability to perform required role in an emergency.
- Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
- Frequently exposed to fumes or air born particles and toxic or caustic chemicals.
- Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; extreme cold; extreme heat.
- Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping, and pulling.
- Frequent repetitive motions.
- Continuous standing and walking.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid drivers' license.
- Prior relevant experience.
