Experteer Overview In this role, you drive breakthrough golf ball technology through physics-based modeling, materials science, and data-driven validation. You will lead cross-disciplinary research to design, model, and validate performance-focused golf ball solutions, translating science into defensible, IP-backed products. You collaborate with materials, engineering, manufacturing, and IP teams to accelerate impactful innovations that strengthen Titleist’s leadership in golf ball performance. You’ll work with advanced simulations, experiments, and real-world testing to link theory with outcome-driven results. Compensation / Benefits • Lead advanced research programs to design, model, and validate golf ball technologies with targeted performance outcomes • Perform rigorous experimental design, data analysis, and simulations (aerodynamics, impact mechanics, structural behavior) to connect theory with performance • Collaborate with materials, engineering, manufacturing, and IP teams to translate complex concepts into actionable solutions • Advance the company’s IP portfolio by contributing to defensible, high-impact innovations Tasks • M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or a related field; Ph.D. strongly preferred • 10+ years in a fast-paced R&D environment with iterative design cycles • Strong expertise in physics, mechanical systems, advanced mathematics, data analysis, and statistics • Proficiency in FEA, computational modeling, and/or theoretical performance prediction; experience with fluid dynamics, aerodynamics, and/or CFD tools • Experience with machine learning, AI, or advanced data science workflows • Deep expertise in MATLAB for simulation and analysis; proficiency in Python, R, C++, or C# • Hands-on experience with high-speed camera systems, image-based measurement, and data interpretation • Background or strong familiarity with golf and golf ball performance fundamentals • Strong communication skills to present complex technical insights to diverse audiences • Understanding of IP landscapes and innovation processes with experience contributing to defensible IP Key requirements • health and well-being programs • paid time off • onsite fitness center • 401k with company match • health savings accounts • education assistance
