Purpose for the Position:

The primary responsibility for the Porter is to maintain and service the BigShots Golf facility as directed. The individual must be dedicated to providing quality service and exceeding guest expectations. This team member is responsible for maintaining and ensuring the highest level of facility cleanliness.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Keep all floors swept, mopped and polished, including bays, event rooms, stairwells, lobby, hallway areas, restrooms, and any other areas needed. Dust and wipe down furniture, shelves, chair arms, desks, pictures, televisions, woodwork and artwork, including all ceiling HVAC registers.

• Clean all mirrors, glasswork, and windows.

• Responsible for plant maintenance and ensuring that plants/planters are properly clear of any debris and dead leaves, etc. Clean water in fresh flower arrangements.

• Re-stock supplies as needed in areas such as guest and team member restrooms, etc. Notifying supervisor timely as supplies run low or depleted, needing to be purchased.

• Must effectively communicate and correspond with their Supervisor to coordinate, acknowledge, prioritize, document and complete work requested from all Department Heads and Guests. Including, notification of any problem or safety issues around the club.

• Daily removal of trash and debris from parking lots and the range.

• Pull all weeds that emerge from unsightly areas as they appear.

• Hand water with hose and bucket all areas needing water.

• Put up and take down holiday decorations around and inside the facility.

• Responsible for checking tee mats daily before open to assure they are placed correctly and secure. All tee mats should have a rubber tee.

• Responsible for seeing that daily assignments are completed in their respective areas, to meet BigShots Golf standards and as communicated in the Team Member expectations (i.e. orderly/organized work areas, straighten/arrange entry area, picking up trash/debris, etc.).

• Assist fellow Team Members and Guests to ensure delivery of the Service Standards without being directed. Be aware of Team Members and the environment and participate as a member of the team.

• Notify supervisor of Guest complaints at the time they occur. Rectify, practicing service recover, any complaints as soon as possible.

• Reports to work for scheduled shift, on time and in uniform in accordance with company policy.

• Knows and complies with all company policies and procedures pertaining to this position and its duties.

• Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.

Hours:

• Due to the nature of the business, scheduling may vary and include nights, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements of the Position:

• Requires a minimum lifting capacity of 50 pounds, i.e. one large bag of onions or one crate of lettuce. Must be able to bend, and lift items of 40 pounds minimum, over head for storage. Must be able to transport food and cooking utensils with food products, weighing as much as 10 pounds.

• May be required to lift in excess of 40 pounds on occasion.

• Climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, picking/pinching with fingers, typing, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, repetitive motion.
