Grinch Character Performer & Golf Cart Tour Guide

Pink Culture Tours | St. Augustine, FL
Seasonal position | In person
Pay: $45 per completed tour; $15/hour for training and non-tour work

Bring the Grinch to life this holiday season

Pink Culture Tours is hiring naturally funny, confident performers for our Grinch-themed Nights of Lights golf cart tours in St. Augustine.

We’re looking for someone who can fully embody the character—with a convincing voice, exaggerated expressions and movements, mischievous humor, and quick improvisation. You should feel comfortable entertaining strangers, interacting with children and adults, and turning everyday guest interactions into memorable moments.

Acting experience is welcome, but beginners are encouraged to apply. What matters most is your ability to commit to the character, make people laugh, and show up consistently.

What you’ll do

• Perform as the Grinch while leading and driving approximately one-hour golf cart tours.
• Learn our provided script and combine it with spontaneous jokes, character interactions, and improvisation.
• Stay in character during guest greetings, tours, and photos.
• Use playful, family-friendly humor and adjust your approach to each group’s comfort level.
• Welcome guests, assist with check-in and boarding, and explain safety instructions clearly.
• Operate the golf cart safely and follow company driving procedures. Safe driving and guest safety always come first.
• Prepare the cart, costume, and tour supplies before departures.
• Clean up after tours and help with cart charging, equipment care, and end-of-shift responsibilities.
• Pose for guest photos and participate in promotional photos and videos.

Who we’re looking for

• Naturally funny: You can respond to guests in the moment and keep an experience entertaining.
• Confident and expressive: You’re comfortable using a character voice, physical comedy, and big personality.
• Committed to the character: You bring consistent energy and believable mannerisms throughout the experience.
• Great with people: You enjoy interacting with families, children, couples, and visitors of different ages.
• Highly reliable: You arrive on time, prepared, and ready to perform.
• Safety-minded: You can balance performance responsibilities with attentive, responsible driving.
• Comfortable outdoors: You can work outside in a full character costume and move in and out of the golf cart throughout your shift.

Applicants must hold a valid Florida driver’s license and be able to pass a background screening.

Schedule and availability

Employment and paid training begin in November 2026. Tours begin November 21, 2026.

This role requires substantial weekday availability, full weekend availability, and availability on holidays during the operating season. Dependable attendance during our busiest dates is essential.

Pay and benefits

• $45 per completed Grinch tour
• $15/hour for training and non-tour work, including setup and cleanup
• Company-provided full costume
• Paid character and tour training
• Employee tour discounts
• Opportunities to learn additional character roles

How to apply

Apply through Indeed with your resume or a brief description of your relevant experience. Tell us:

• Why you would make a memorable Grinch.
• Any experience with acting, improv, comedy, entertaining, tours, or customer service.
• Your weekday, weekend, and holiday availability.
• Whether you hold a valid Florida driver’s license.

You don’t need a professional acting résumé. You do need personality, confidence, and the commitment to bring the Grinch to life.
