Job Summary:
The Starter is responsible for managing the flow of play and ensuring golfers begin their rounds on time. This position provides guest service while helping maintain pace of play and an organized tee time schedule.
Key Duties:
- Check golfers in at the first tee and verify tee times
- Send groups to the tee according to the tee sheet schedule
- Communicate course rules and pace of play expectations
- Assist guests with questions before starting their round
- Coordinate with pro shop and operations staff to manage player flow
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Basic knowledge of golf and course etiquette
- Ability to work outdoors for extended periods

- Pick and clean golf balls from the driving range
- Wash and refill range balls in dispensing machines or baskets
- Maintain cleanliness of the range tee line and practice areas
- Assist guests with range questions and basic facility information
- Report maintenance or safety issues to management
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to operate small equipment (range picker, ball washer)
