Position Summary

Lone Star Golf Cars is looking for a Mobile Golf Cart Service Technician Delivery Driver which is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, servicing, delivering golf carts and maintaining golf carts at customer locations, retail stores, and fleet accounts. This role requires strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, excellent customer service, and the ability to work independently in a field environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesField Service & Repairs
  • Travel to customer homes, communities, and commercial locations to perform service and repairs
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and battery system issues on golf carts
  • Perform routine maintenance including inspections, tune-ups, brake adjustments, and tire service
  • Install accessories such as lights, lift kits, enclosures, stereos, and lithium battery conversions
  • Complete warranty repairs in accordance with manufacturer guidelines
  • Delivery of new and used golf carts and pick-up of golf carts
Customer Experience
  • Provide professional, courteous service during all customer interactions
  • Clearly explain repair findings, recommendations, and maintenance needs
  • Ensure customer approval is obtained prior to performing additional repairs
  • Maintain a clean and professional mobile service vehicle
Work Order & Inventory Management
  • Accurately document diagnostics, labor time, parts used, and repair notes
  • Submit completed repair orders daily
  • Maintain proper stock levels of commonly used parts and supplies on the service truck
  • Communicate parts needs and follow-up repairs with the Service Manager
Safety & Compliance
  • Follow all company safety procedures and safe driving practices
  • Ensure proper handling and disposal of batteries and hazardous materials
  • Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of mechanical or electrical repair experience (golf cart, automotive, powersports, or small engine preferred)
  • Experience with battery systems, chargers, and electrical diagnostics strongly preferred
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Basic computer or tablet skills for work order completion
  • Lithium battery installation and troubleshooting preferred
  • Mobile service or field technician experience
  • Customer-facing service roles

  • Maintain daily productivity and response time targets
  • Achieve high first-time fix rate
  • Maintain customer satisfaction standards
  • Support store and fleet service revenue goals
Work Environment
  • Field-based role with daily travel
  • Combination of outdoor and shop support work
  • May require overtime or weekend service during peak seasons
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
