As a memberof the Kohanaiki maintenance team, the entry level position of Mechanic I willbe responsible for helping maintain all equipment at Kohanaiki. Knowledge of golf course equipment, golfcarts, utility vehicles, auto, and heavy equipment is preferred. This includes meeting or exceeding theestablished standards for guest and member satisfaction. The position of Mechanic I is an integralpart of the Maintenance Operation and functions as a key player on our team. Additional duties may be assigned asrequired.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Maintain Greenskeeper I Certification.
- The Mechanic I will function as a coach in encouraging team members to be diligent with equipment care and operation.
- The Mechanic I will assist the Equipment Manager and other Mechanics in grinding, repairing, and servicing all equipment
- The Mechanic I will help identify and correct performance problems under the Equipment Manager's supervision, complete repairs/adjustments and help insure all equipment is being properly cleaned.
- The Mechanic I will help the Equipment Manager maintain records of repairs, equipment and parts inventory, preventative maintenance, and fuel/lubricant usage.
- Proper use and knowledge of golf course equipment, golf carts, utility vehicles, auto, and heavy equipment used on the project.
- The Mechanic I will help maintain a clean, safe and orderly work environment.
- The Mechanic I will help the Equipment Manager insure departmental compliance with OSHA.
- Appreciation of Kohanaiki's mission statement and goals.
- Must demonstrate ability to follow both written and oral instructions given by supervisor.
- Must demonstrate ability to learn proper safe use of all necessary power and mechanical tools.
- Use independent decision-making judgment to complete work assignments.
- Must be able to maintain good working relationships with other employees and to work with or without supervision.
