About the Club
Oak Point Golf Club is one of Sydney's newest private clubs, formed just over a year ago when Liverpool and Kogarah Golf Clubs amalgamated on the Liverpool Golf Club site. The Club is now undertaking a fully funded transformation that includes reinvigorating an event-proven championship course, delivering world-class practice facilities, renovating the clubhouse, and building modern maintenance and cart fleet facilities.

Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintain and repair all golf course maintenance equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and diesel faults.
- Perform preventative maintenance programs across the machinery fleet.
- Maintain cutting units to the highest standard, including grinding, setting and adjustment.
- Weld and fabricate components when required.
- Maintain detailed service records and equipment history.
- Manage spare parts inventory and workshop consumables.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop environment.
- Liaise with equipment suppliers and service technicians where required.
- Assist with machinery setup for seasonal maintenance practices.
- Ensure all work complies with Workplace Health & Safety requirements.
You will be a motivated individual who enjoys problem solving and takes pride in producing high-quality work.
Essential Requirements
- Certificate III in Outdoor Power Equipment Technology, Agricultural Mechanical Technology, Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent trade qualification.
- Current Australian Driver's Licence.
- Strong mechanical diagnostic skills.
- Experience maintaining hydraulic, diesel and petrol-powered equipment.
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Previous experience as a Golf Course Turf Mechanic.
- Experience with John Deere, Toro, Jacobsen or Kubota equipment.
- TIG/MIG welding and fabrication experience.
- Experience maintaining electric utility vehicles and lithium battery systems.
- Chemical accreditation (AQF3) or willingness to obtain.
- HR Licence.
