Position Summary: The Mizuho Americas Open is looking for a Tournament Manager
This position will be responsible for assisting the Tournament Director & Staff with planning, logistics, and execution for the event
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Assist tournament staff with daily assigned responsibilities and general administrative work and other tournament services related duties Serve as the point-person for the general public ticket questions and coordinate all ticket and credential fulfillment and distribution Work with local hotels to coordinate host accommodations and set up room blocks Assist to foster and uphold relationship with the Title Sponsor as it relates to tournament services Collaborate with volunteer coordinator on all volunteer program activities including application design, registration process, training, recruitment, leadership structure, uniform ordering & distribution, catering, printed material, communication plan, etc
(for applicable events) Secure and manage tournament vendors including but not limited to caterer, florist, photographer Responsible for managing food and beverages services Arrange all tournament orders for apparel, gifting, awards, supplies, etc
Orchestrate all player and caddie amenities and activities including food and beverage, player hotels, courtesy car distribution, registration, sponsors value program, childcare, and credentials Develop ideas for fan enhancements, hospitality products, and sponsorship categories Assist with player communication (Tournament Fact sheet, responding to player inquiries, etc.) Work with Tournament and Operations Directors to coordinate Food & Beverage process and RFP selection (i.e., event caterer and concessionaire on-course)
Lead and/or assist planning for Special Events (Women's Summit, junior clinic(s), player appearances, etc.) Travel to other events in a support role assisting in areas such as ticketing, housing, transportation, special events, honorary observer management, etc
Special Projects or other duties as assigned Education & Experience: Bachelor's Degree required ; 2-4 years of experience in Golf Management and/or Event Coordination preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: A passion for the game of golf and event planning is ideal Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills Strong initiative and ability to manage priorities, deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality and accuracy Strong knowledge of PC-based word processing, Excel, PowerPoint, and e-mail applications, etc
(Microsoft family) Understanding and interest in the sports sponsorship landscape, key industry players, market values and activation concepts Ability to demonstrate uncompromised judgment and discretion regarding interpersonal relationships
The pay range for this position is: $70,000 per year - $80,000 per year
This position is also eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus

Ultimately, the salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria
