The ClubThe National is a world class, private golf club, providing unique member experiences on four golf courses across two sites at Cape Schanck and Long Island.

In addition to having access to four world class golf courses, members enjoy state-of-the-art facilities and service. The club operates a restaurant with the capacity to comfortably seat more than 300 dining guests a bar, and on-course catering facilities.

The RoleAn exciting opportunity has opened up for a reliable and motivated person to join our management team in a permanent full-time capacity.

The primary responsibility of the Hospitality Manager is to oversee the front of house operations of the club, at both the Cape Schanck and Long Island sites.

The Hospitality Manager will ensure a first-class experience for our members and guests, providing exceptional service and promoting a friendly, club environment.

The Assistant Hospitality Manager and the Functions and Events Supervisor report directly to this role which, in turn, reports to the Chief Executive Officer.

Key ResponsibilitiesThe Hospitality Manager will be responsible for hospitality services across the two sites but will be predominantly based at Cape Schanck on the Mornington Peninsula.

The successful applicant will bring experience to the role which empowers the hospitality team to consistently deliver a professional and memorable experience for members and their guests, in a manner that positively reflects on The National’s brand.

Success in the role will be reflected in evidence of leadership, commercial accountability, stakeholder satisfaction, and team morale.

About YouThe successful candidate will have the following skills and background : Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets, forecasting revenue, and controlling costsDemonstrated ability to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and engagementRelevant academic and work-related qualificationsManagement experience of at least five years in a comparable workplace, with proven track record of successful leadership and managementExceptional knowledge of industry trends and best practices in hospitality including emerging technologies and innovative service modelsPrevious experience in the golf industry within a private club setting is preferable but not requiredWhat we offerFull-time employment including some night and weekend work to match our busier trading timesA competitive remuneration package, directly relating to your qualifications, experience and skills will be negotiatedStable working environment with a great teamWe foster an environment of belonging, celebrate diversity at the Club and make hiring decisions based on experience, skill and passion.
