CORE WORK ACTIVITIES Kitchen Operations for Club • Supporting the Executive Chef and Sous Chef with preparation of hot and cold food for service to the highest standard • Run and maintain lunch and dinner service • Positive and flexible approach to work (weekend and evening work will be required) • Ensuring a consistently high level of food service at all times through knowledge of menu items and awareness of commodities used, preparation, methods and cooking • Assisting as necessary with stock control and identifying methods for improving food service • Ensuring kitchen areas and equipment are cleaned and relevant health and hygiene procedures are followed at all times • Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members. • Serving as a role model to demonstrate appropriate behaviors. • Ensures club policies are being followed • Establishes and maintains open, collaborative relationships with team members. Culinary Standards and Responsibilities • Recognizes superior quality products, presentations and flavor. • Ensures compliance with food handling and sanitation standards. • Follows proper handling and right temperature of all food products. • Maintains receiving and food storage standards. • Prepares and cooks foods of all types, and for special guests or functions. Ensuring Exceptional Member Service • Provides and supports service behaviors that are above and beyond for member satisfaction and retention. • Improves service by communicating and assisting individuals to understand member needs, providing feedback. • Manages day-to-day operations, ensuring the quality, standards and meeting the expectations of the members and their guests on a daily basis. • Displays member hospitality, exemplifies excellent customer service and creates a positive atmosphere for member and guest relations. • Interacts with members and guests. • Responds in a positive manner to and handles problems and complaints. • Provide excellent customer service Conducting Human Resource Activities • Ensures team members are treated fairly and equitably. Additional Responsibilities • Analyzes information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems and communicate with Executive Chef and Sous Chef • Attends and participates in all pertinent meetings
