Job Summary: The role of Landscaper is responsible for maintaining the ornamental plants by propagating plant materials for ornamental use around buildings, parking lots, and other areas. Additionally, the role of Landscaper is responsible for mowing, trimming, and pruning as needed while also assisting the Lead Landscaper and Superintendent as directed.

Job Summary: The role of Landscaper is responsible for maintaining the ornamental plants by propagating plant materials for ornamental use around buildings, parking lots, and other areas. Additionally, the role of Landscaper is responsible for mowing, trimming, and pruning as needed while also assisting the Lead Landscaper and Superintendent as directed.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform groundskeeping and building maintenance duties
Mow lawn either by hand or using a riding lawnmower
Cut lawn using hand, power or riding mower and trim and edge around walks, flower beds, and walls
Landscape by planting flowers, grass, shrubs, and bushes
Apply pesticide to rid grounds of pests such as mosquitos, wasps, ticks, and others
Apply fertilizer to ground to enhance growth
Shovel snow from walkways and sprinkle ice down to keep people from falling
Perform routine maintenance duties such as applying plaster, fixing fountains, and other duties
Sweep walkway of debris
Cut down tree limbs that are posing a danger
Trim shrubs and pull weeds
Perform minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment utilized in groundskeeping
Install lawn furniture
Rake, mulch, and prune the grounds as needed
Install rock, cement, lighting, water, and furniture
Water plants and grass as needed and apply fertilizer
All other duties as assigned
Sufficient education and literacy needed to identify and read product labels and communicate with guests about job-related needs.
Ability to read write and speak, and communicate in basic English preferred
Previous experience in a similar position preferred
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Detail oriented and thorough
Ability to remain discreet and respect the privacy of guests
Ability to perform consistent work to the highest standards
Ability to interact with guests in a pleasant friendly way
Ability to read, write and speak and communicate in basic English is necessary.
Ability to verbally communicate with guests in a professional manner
Ability to operate maintenance equipment safely and properly
Excellent organization skills
Working knowledge of horticulture
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Ability to work in a variety of outside conditions for a long period of time
Basic working knowledge of maintenance equipment
