The Greenskeeper is responsible for assisting in the general upkeep and maintenance of the golf greens
S/he will be involved in the precision mowing of greens, tees, aprons, approaches, fairways, roughs, bunker maintenance, divot repair program, and a variety of golf course maintenance programs, such as aerifying, verticutting, and topdressing
The Greenskeeper will assist in maintaining the AAA Four Diamond standards
The Greenskeeper shall always strive to provide exceptional service to internal and external guests

roperly mows greens and teesOperates tractors, using specific attachments, to till, cultivate, and grade new turf areasAssists with landscaping; planting, cultivating, pruning, and care of plants, shrubs and trees on golf courseResponsible for bunker maintenanceRepairs divots throughout the courseRakes sand trapsComplies with all Wild Dunes Resort’s policies, procedures, and safety regulationsMaintains a strong knowledge of emergency proceduresAttends appropriate resort, division, and department meetingsProvides general resort information for guestsOffers warm and sincere welcome/farewell for all guests of Wild Dunes Resort including use of guest name when possible & and good eye contact with each guestInteracts with resort staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments when necessaryAlways maintains a professional demeanor and attitudeCommunicates all pertinent information to the golf maintenance teamMaintains a professional appearance
Follows all Wild Dunes Resort dress code standardsRemains alert, courteous, and helpful to the guests and colleagues at all times A colleague is held accountable for all duties of this job and other duties as assigned
Qualifications - ExternalExperience and Education:High school education or equivalent requiredPrior landscaping experience preferredPrior golf maintenance experience is strongly preferredAt least one year of customer service experience preferredJob Requirements:Must be authorized to work in the United StatesMust have a valid driver’s license and meet company driving standardsExcellent equipment operation skillsMust have good mechanical understanding and abilityMust have excellent leadership skillsMust have a thorough understanding of the game of golf to understand the playability of the courseMust be able to work well under pressureMust be able to follow instructions, both verbal and written accuratelyMust possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenMust be professional in appearance and demeanorMust have excellent listening skillsAbility to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidaysMust have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with guests and ColleaguesMust have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful mannerMust have a passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guestsCOLLEAGUES WHO ARE HIRED AT WILD DUNES RESORT WILL BE VERIFIED THROUGH THE FEDERAL E-VERIFY SYSTEM.WORKING CONDITIONS:Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, cold, sun & heat)Must be able to stand & and walk throughout the day, including on uneven surfacesMust be able to frequently lift, push, pull & and carry up to 25 lbs, occasionally up to 50 lbs, and very occasionally up to 75 lbs with assistanceMust be able to bend, squat, crawl, kneel & and twist on a frequent basis, sometimes for prolonged periodsMust be able to perform simple grasping, squeezing, and repetitive hand & and arm movements frequently; overhead reaching and fine manipulation occasionally
