Full job description Responsible for supporting and maintaining the upkeep and grounds maintenance of the location.
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform landscaping activities by operating various pieces of equipment, including mowers, chippers, root pruners, edger’s, weed eaters, blowers and other landscaping tools.
• Manually removing – weeding, flower beds, sand bunkers and applying herbicides, fertilizer, and mulch.
• Plant and trim shrubs, trees, raking bunkers and flowers and maintain athletic fields.
• Preforming other duties as needed to maintain landscape to standards and MDC Safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and perform duties assigned.
• Must be able to pass a physical examination prior to being employed.
• Must be able to operate lawn equipment such as mowers, weed eaters, and edger’s.
• Must report to work in a clean, plain solid shirt or t-shirt, long slacks, and closed toe shoes such as leather sneakers.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be capable of working in outside conditions during inclement weather.
• Must be a legal resident of the United States.
• Must be able to satisfactorily perform all of the essential functions of the position with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Physical Requirements: 1. Must be able to stand for long periods of time 2. Must be able to lift fifty- (50) pounds. 3. Must be able to stoop, walk, climb stairs and ladder, crouch, kneel, pull, push, reach, perform repetitive hand motions, have hearing, speech and visual acuity, and be able to distinguish colors.
