The Role
Reporting to the Fitness Centre Manager you will be responsible for the delivery of Swim School classes, private lessons and water safety programs in a professional manner, providing excellent service for members and guests.
You will work with management to assess and allocate children and adults to the appropriate swim classes each term.
This is a casual role that will require weekly availability to work Saturday mornings 8am 1pm with the opportunity to pick up additional shifts.

The Role

Main responsibilities include :
- Pre-planning and developing lesson structures
- Conducting swimming lessons / coaching sessions to meet the defined needs of the students
- Aust Swim Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety Certification or Swim Australia Teacher Certification
- Senior First Aid and Advanced Resuscitation certifications
- Clearance to work with children via the Working with Children Check
- Knowledge and ability to pre-plan and develop lesson structures
- Minimum of two years’ experience as a Swim Instructor
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal with children and parents
- Have the ability to think on your feet & show initiative
- Austswim Teacher of Infant & Preschool Aquatics
- Austswim Teacher of Aquatics with People of Disabilities
- Austswim Teacher of Competitive Strokes
- Swim Australia Babies & Toddlers
