PRIMARY PURPOSE
Under the general guidance and supervision of the Assistant Food & Beverage General Manager to assist on meeting & greeting guests
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greeting Guests as they enter the restaurant
- Taking reservations & putting guests on waiting lists if required
- Presenting guests with menus & showing them to their assigned tables
- Handling phone calls and any guest queries about the restaurant and menu
- Keeping track of tables available in the restaurant and making adjustments to the seating plan if necessary
- Ensuring guest satisfaction and make managers aware of any issues or concerns
- Communicating with waiting staff about available tables and guests needs
- Handling guests' complaints and ensuring they leave satisfied
- Assisting various restaurant staff when necessary
- Perform opening and closing checklists
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform any other assigned reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned or requested by Manager or Assistant Manager.
- Attend Portmarnock Hotel & Golf Links Training.
- Maintain a professional image at all times.
- Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently.
- Manage your time effectively and efficiently.
