POSITION DESCRIPTION: Inspects, diagnoses, and repairs mechanical defects in diesel, electric, and gasoline-powered vehicles, trucks, trenchers, sweepers, rollers, mowers, and other mechanical equipment used in golf course work.

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Inspects, diagnoses, and repairs mechanical defects in diesel, electric, and gasoline-powered vehicles, trucks, trenchers, sweepers, rollers, mowers, and other mechanical equipment used in golf course work.

- Provide exceptional guest service to both external and internal guests by maintaining and exhibiting the We-Ko-Pa Way Service Standards: Smile and Greet, name and Meet, Thank You, and Goodbye.
- Sharpen mower blades; disassembles motors and performs general overhauling; grinds valves, repairs transmissions, differentials, carburetors, distributors, fuel pumps, steering systems, starters, generators, universal joints, hydraulic systems, and high-pressure pumps and valves.
- Welds and may do some machining work in making fittings used in maintenance equipment; frequently makes emergency repairs on the golf course.
- Interprets and applies manufacturers' repair manuals and technical specifications, schematics, engineering drawings, diagnostic codes, computer printouts, and environmental and safety manuals to ensure completed work meets manufacturers' specifications.
- Maintains a preventive maintenance program on all equipment purchases, repaired parts, and replacement supplies.
- Requires working knowledge of golf course maintenance equipment and automotive mechanics, skill in the use of a wide variety of equipment repair tools, including reel grinding experience.
- Must be able to follow written and/or verbal instructions, work orders, and specifications related to maintenance of equipment and vehicles.
- Utilizes safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean work environment.
- Requires working knowledge of golf course maintenance equipment and automotive mechanics, skill in the use of a wide variety of equipment repair tools, including reel grinding experience.
- Must be able to follow written and/or verbal instructions, work orders, and specifications related to maintenance of equipment and vehicles.
- Utilizes safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean work environment.
- Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a golf course maintenance shop.
- Ability to communicate effectively and keep business records.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English.
- Ability to work cooperatively with staff, management, and guests.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License, reliable transportation, and pass a background screening including a DMV records check.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, weekends, and Holidays.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Hear, reach, see, and walk for 67-100% of the workday.
- Eye/hand coordination for 67-100% of the workday.
- Exposure to dust/smoke for 67-100% of the workday.
- Stand for 80-90% of the workday.
- Bend and twist for 1-33% of the workday.
- While working on the casino floor, the employee is exposed to high levels of noise daily.
