Walden Oaks Country Club is seeking a highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic and positive attitude to manage the grounds crew. The Head Superintendent will be involved in daily course management and will work closely with the Head Golf Professional and General Manager. The ability to lead and manage and stay organized is highly desired for this role.
Essential Functions
-Manage all operations involved in providing maintenance of greens, tees, fairways, roughs, landscapes, bunkers, bodies of water, equipment and maintenance facility.
-Training and supervising the maintenance team to ensure safety and quality of work
-Leading and motivating the maintenance team to achieve set goals
-Supervising all chemical applications on the grounds in compliance with all local, state and federal laws and regulations
-Prepare daily and weekly schedules and strategies
Personal Attributes
-Effective communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
-Strong attention to detail and exceptional time management
-Ability to adapt and perform multifaceted projects in conjunction with daily activities
-Strong leadership and motivational skills to direct team activities
-Possess the ability to effectively interact with executive leadership, associates and members
-Self-motivated to challenge yourself for success
Experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience. Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Agronomy, Turf Management, Horticulture or related field with full Pesticide License. Experience with Rainbird Irrigation and Jacobson Equipment as well as Yamaha a plus.
