The Head Golf Professional's key responsibilities include developing, implementing, and ensuring that all quality standards for Windham’s golf operations are maintained, through the supervision and direction of the Windham Golf Course staff, providing excellent customer service and delivering an exceptional golf experience. The candidate will be responsible for driving performance to attain established goals in collaboration with the General Manager and Owner. Candidate must be a team player, have a passion for customer service, and be a hands-on leader.

The Head Golf Professional will also be responsible for creating a positive working environment that is conducive to attracting and retaining a high-quality, motivated, and diverse workforce.

Compensation: $70,000/year + additional compensation opportunities

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversees the operations of the pro shop and driving range.
  • Hires, trains, and schedules staff, as well as evaluates employee performance.
  • Responsible for managing the proshop, maintaining inventory of supplies, and equipment and ordering new merchandise. Creates marketing plans and promotions to increase revenue and grow the customer base.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests.
  • Schedules tee times and manages reservations.
  • Coordinates tournaments and special events with the General Manager.
  • Keeps abreast of industry trends and best practices.
  • Prepares annual budget and financial reports.
  • Build relationships with members, guests, and the community.
  • Always represents the club professionally and positively.
Qualifications:

  • PGA Class "A" Member or LPGA Professional in good standing with exemplary communication skills.
  • Knowledge of and proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Microsoft applications, EZ Links, EZ Suite and Golf Genius
  • Enthusiastic leader - willing and able to mentor, develop and motivate subordinates.
  • Strong business acumen able to develop and monitor annual and monthly budgets.
  • Practice range, golf academy, tournament operations and tour wholesale sales experience is beneficial.
