Location: Empire High School, Tucson, Arizona Job Type: Part-Time/Seasonal Application Deadline: Open Until Filled Season: Feb. 8th - May 2027 Job Description: Empire High School is seeking a Head Golf Coach to support the program in developing and managing a competitive, positive, and educational high school golf program. This role focuses on skill development, sportsmanship, teamwork, and student-athlete growth both on and off the course. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement effective training programs to enhance player performance and team success. Provide leadership and mentorship to student-athletes, emphasizing sportsmanship, discipline, and teamwork. Organize and supervise team practices, conditioning programs, and game strategies. Coordinate with assistant coaches, athletic trainers, and school administration. Promote academic achievement and ensure players adhere to eligibility requirements. Represent Empire High School with professionalism in the community and in interscholastic competitions. Ensure compliance with Arizona Interscholastic Association (AIA) rules and school policies. Manage team logistics, including scheduling, equipment inventory, and budget considerations. Engage in community outreach and fundraising efforts to support the athletic program. Qualifications: Required: Strong knowledge of the sport’s fundamentals, rules, and strategies. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to foster a positive and inclusive team environment. CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain. Must pass a background check as required by the school district. Preferred: Prior coaching experience at the high school, club, or collegiate level. Previous experience as an assistant coach. Knowledge of strength and conditioning principles.
