Summary and Scope of Position: The Ursinus College Athletic department has an immediate opening for Head Men’s and Women’s Golf Coach. This is a part-time position. The candidate will be responsible for the administration and organization of a successful program that competes in the Centennial Conference and adheres to all NCAA Division III rules.
Specific Responsibilities: The Head Coach of the men’s and women’s golf program at Ursinus will be responsible for the following job duties:

Specific Responsibilities: The Head Coach of the men’s and women’s golf program at Ursinus will be responsible for the following job duties:
- Prepare, schedule and organize practice sessions, preparation for competition and off-season training
- Organize, direct, and mentor the coaching staff to carry out the goals and objectives of the program
- Schedule competitions in consultation with the Athletics administrators
- Organize and administer the recruiting of prospective student-athletes in accordance with the NCAA, Centennial Conference, and Ursinus College policies and procedures
- Manage all aspects of fundraising, alumni relations, and community outreach
- Responsibly expend allocated budget and ensure that the budget balances each fiscal year
- Engage in regular consultation with athletic training personnel to maximize the safety and wellness of student-athletes
- Implement appropriate risk management strategies at all times
- Demonstrate concern for the overall welfare of student-athletes at all times
- Work collaboratively with the Compliance Officers in regards to the rules and regulations of the NCAA and Centennial Conference
- Field a team that will be as competitive as possible within the guidelines set by the NCAA, Centennial Conference and Ursinus College
- Work to ensure the ongoing eligibility of athletes and monitor their academic progress
- Provide general advising, mentoring and support to student-athletes
- Engage in ethical decision-making and outstanding sportsmanship
- Execute all of these responsibilities as head coach in a manner that reflects an ongoing commitment to the excellence, integrity and success of the men’s and women’s golf program, of the Department of Athletics, and Ursinus College
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Previous coaching experience preferred
- Knowledge of rules and techniques of the sport
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational, delegation and planning ability
- Knowledge of NCAA Division III rules and regulations
- Experience with recruiting and fundraising
