Job Description: Part Time Groundskeeper- Golf Course

Summary Of Position
Assists with maintenance of the golf course from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 am Monday through Friday. Operates light equipment and handheld equipment to accomplish assigned activities.
Examples Of Work
Essential Duties*
Performs Such Other Duties As May Be Required.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of: the safe operation of the equipment used and of the provisions to the Texas Motor Vehicles Code relating to the operation of light motorized equipment.
Physical ability to: work in hot, cold, and/or wet weather conditions; lift and maneuver up to 85 lbs; perform rigorous activity as required in performing manual labor.
Ability to: operate standard maintenance equipment, service and make minor repairs on equipment and to know safety standards to prevent hazards; understand and follow written and oral instructions; work effectively and cooperatively with other employees; knowledge of turf management is desirable; and maintain a Texas driver's license (applicable to job responsibilities) and a good driving record.
Acceptable Experience And Training
High school diploma, or its equivalent, and at least one year of experience operating light equipment;
or sufficient education to read and write, plus at least two years of experience operating light equipment;
or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Certificates And Licenses Required
State of Texas Class C Driver's License.

- Mows greens, tees, fairways, and roughs and uses weed eater; trims trees and brush; picks up trash and debris; cleans and rakes sand traps; cleans and maintains golf course restrooms;
- Operates light equipment such as a tractor, mower, chainsaw, and weed eater as required and instructed.
- Checks oil, water, fuel, tires and hydraulic systems and performs other routine inspections to ensure vehicle is in proper working condition;
- Provides assistance with and suggestions for increased safety during assigned projects;
- Loads, transports, and unloads necessary materials for assigned projects;
- Performs light plumbing, maintenance, construction, and/or carpentry duties;
- Observes safety rules and procedures; and
Performs Such Other Duties As May Be Required.
