About the Wembley Golf Course
Wembley Golf Course is a public golf facility owned and operated by the Town of Cambridge located 10kms from the CBD and 2 kms from City Beach in Perth, WA. The facility encompasses 36 holes, an 80 Bay two storey (automated) day/night driving range including Trackman Range touchscreens on each bay, 18 hole mini golf course, shortgame and coaching areas, Wembley Golf Custom Studio, restaurant and bar and one of Australia’s biggest pro shops. With over 195,000 rounds per year and over 800,000 visitors to the facility per year, Wembley Golf Course is arguably the busiest golf facility in Australia.
The Role
The Ground Maintenance Worker is a valued member of the Wembley Golf Course maintenance team, responsible for undertaking a variety of tasks to ensure the course is presented and maintained to a high standard in a safe and efficient manner. Working collaboratively with the team, you will contribute to a broad range of maintenance activities including, but not limited to, planting, turf establishment and management, irrigation and course repairs, fertilising, and general grounds maintenance.
Whether you are looking to commence your career through an apprenticeship, have experience as a Grounds Maintenance Worker or Groundsperson, or hold qualifications in Turf Management or Horticulture, this is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills while working in a supportive and professional team environment.
Please note that if you are currently completing an apprenticeship, apprenticeship rates apply and will be discussed with the preferred candidate.

Selection Criteria
Practical knowledge and experience in golf course operations is desirable.
Demonstrated working knowledge of safe operation and user maintenance of relevant plant and equipment.
Demonstrated understanding of, and commitment to safe working practices in a maintenance and works environment.
Proven ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to a positive and productive work culture.
Ability to respond appropriately to supervisor direction and carry out diverse tasks as required, including working with limited supervision at times.
Safety Awareness Training (White Card desirable but can be obtained following employment).
Pesticide Safety Certificate (TAFE) is desirable.
TAFE training in Turf Management or a related field is desirable.
HR Class Drivers Licence is desirable.
Senior First Aid Certificate desirable.
Eligibility
