We provide programs and support services for patients, families, caregivers, and others in the San Francisco Bay Area affected by Alzheimer's disease and related disorders. Outside the federal government, the Alzheimer's Association is the largest research funder in the country and offers advocacy opportunities to make public policy change.
At the Alzheimer's Association, diversity and inclusion are vital to our mission. The Association leads strategic initiatives to support diversity and a culture of inclusivity. These strategic initiatives also strengthen outreach to all populations, providing communities with resources and support to address the Alzheimer’s crisis. Love golf? Use your swing to make a difference. The Alzheimer’s Association is looking for passionate golfers to serve as Volunteer Leaders for Do What You Love to End ALZ(tm), our signature fundraising campaign that empowers people to turn their favorite activities into powerful tools for change.
As a Golf Volunteer Leader, you’ll rally your golf community to start fundraising events and support the mission to end Alzheimer’s and all other dementia.
Whether you’re a club member, tournament organizer, or weekend golfer, this is your chance to lead with purpose and grow the movement through the game you love.
Your Role Will Include

- Recruiting golfers, golf clubs, and leagues to start fundraising events
- Coaching participants on how to plan, promote, and fundraise for their tournaments
- Hosting recruitment events or golf outings to engage new supporters
- Connecting with local golf courses, pro shops, and equipment brands for sponsorships
- Tabling at tournaments, giving presentations, and attending golf expos or networking events
- Sending follow-ups, writing thank-you notes, and celebrating fundraising milestones
- Representing the Alzheimer’s Association mission with passion and professionalism
