In designing Brookside Country Club's 18-Hole Championship Golf Course, world famous golf course architect Robert Trent Jones, Jr. took bold steps to transform level land into a strongly contoured test of golf strategy and skill with a Scottish flavor nestled around fourteen lakes. The par-72 course was designed for golfers of all ages and levels of play. Multiple tees vary the length of each hole, offering a fair test for all. According to Jones, Brookside has what every great course has, "a combination of strong golfing values and rich visual aesthetics”. The ideal candidate must be highly motivated, reliable with a strong attention to detail and passionate about improving the conditions of the golf course. The *Irrigation Technician* is responsible for the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of the golf course's irrigation system, including pumps, controllers, valves, sprinkler heads, and associated wiring and piping. This role ensures efficient and effective water distribution across the course to support healthy turf conditions while conserving water and minimizing downtime. The ideal candidate combines technical/mechanical aptitude with a strong understanding of turfgrass irrigation needs. *Responsibilities.* Diagnose and repair irrigation system components, including pumps, valves, solenoids, sprinkler heads, controllers, wiring, and pipe fittings. Perform routine inspections of the irrigation system to identify leaks, broken heads, electrical faults, or pressure issues. Locate and repair underground wiring and pipe breaks using appropriate locating equipment. Program and troubleshoot satellite and central irrigation controllers. Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts inventory, water usage, and system performance. Collaborate with the Superintendent and grounds crew to address dry or wet spots, hand-watering needs, and syringing during peak heat. Operate trenching equipment, utility vehicles, and hand/power tools safely. Follow all safety protocols when working with electrical systems, chemicals, and heavy equipment.
