Job Title: Golf Course Spray Technician Department/ Division: Community Services/Golf Union Affiliation: SEIU Unit A Status: Full-time Pay Grade: 8 Hours Per Week: 40 Pay Rate: Starting $26.68 per hour ($26.68-$35.11/hour position range), plus benefits The Town of Yarmouth is searching for a Golf Course Spray Technician to join their Golf Division team! Working under the general supervision of the Golf Course Superintendent, the Spray Technician performs general golf course maintenance to include but not limited to specialized equipment operation, mowing, tree work, golf course construction, daily setup, and labor duties as assigned. The Spray Technician applies pesticides and fertilizers in accordance with all applicable laws, including record keeping. The Spray Technician will perform irrigation repair as required. RECOMMENDED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma, one to three years prior work experience preferably in golf course related maintenance or the operation of landscape and turf equipment, or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the position. Massachusetts Class D Driver’s License and MA Hoisting Engineer’s License Grade 2B are required. MA Pesticide Applicator’s License required. The employee must successfully complete a CORI certification and pre-employment physical. Physical requirements: Work requires moderate, intermittent physical strength and physical effort on a regular daily basis. May be exposed to equipment, machinery, noise, odors, dust, smoke, heat, cold, oil, dirt, grease, etc. APPLICATION PROCEDURE: Please complete an employment application form.
