Fripp Island Golf & Beach Resort is located on Fripp Island, South Carolina, a 3500-acre private island located at the end of U.S. Highway 21 South. It is the last inhabited island in a chain of islands leading from historic Beaufort to the Atlantic Ocean. During the summer, we are in full swing with Resort guests checking in and out every week. In the offseason, we see golf groups, many weddings, and winter renters.

Fripp Island Resort is seeking a skilled Golf Cart Technician to maintain, repair, and service our fleet of golf carts. This position is responsible for keeping our carts in top working condition to ensure safe, reliable transportation for our guests. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on mechanical work and takes pride in vehicle maintenance.

Fripp Island Resort is seeking a skilled Golf Cart Technician to maintain, repair, and service our fleet of golf carts. This position is responsible for keeping our carts in top working condition to ensure safe, reliable transportation for our guests. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on mechanical work and takes pride in vehicle maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on golf carts including oil changes, filter replacements, battery
- service, and tire rotations
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues
- Conduct pre- and post-rental inspections to document vehicle condition
- Test drive carts to identify problems and verify repairs
- Maintain detailed service records and maintenance logs
- Order and manage parts inventory
- Keep work area clean and organized
- Communicate with management about fleet condition and needed repairs
- Ensure all work meets safety standards and company guidelines
- Perform other operational duties reasonably associated with the position and resort needs.
Requirements
To be considered, applicants must demonstrate they meet the following requirements:
- 2+ years of experience repairing small engines, golf carts, ATVs, or similar vehicles
- Knowledge of basic electrical systems and troubleshooting
- Ability to read technical manuals and diagrams
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation to/from work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a teamExperience specifically with golf cart maintenance
- Certification in small engine repair or similar
- Experience with battery and electrical systems
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Comfortable working in outdoor conditions
- Ability to bend, kneel, and work in various positions
