Job Title: Golf Cart Technician & Maintenance Support Department: Service Location: Cherokee, AL FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Reports To: Field Service Supervisor/Service Manager/Shop Manager General Purpose of the Position: The Golf Cart Technician is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, repair, and servicing of golf carts operating within a manufacturing environment. This position also supports facility operations by cleaning, detailing, and pressure washing forklifts and other equipment to ensure a safe, organized, and professional work environment. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety focused, and capable of working independently while supporting production and operations teams. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Golf Cart Maintenance Perform preventative maintenance on electric and gas-powered golf carts. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, steering, suspension, and brake system issues. Inspect golf carts for safety, performance, and operational reliability. Replace batteries, tires, belts, wiring, lights, and other components as needed. Conduct routine battery maintenance, charging, and testing. Coordinate with supervisors regarding equipment availability and repair priorities. Keep tools, parts inventory, and work areas organized and maintained. Forklift Cleaning & Pressure Washing Clean, detail, and pressure wash forklifts on a scheduled basis. Remove dirt, grease, oil, and debris from forklifts and material handling equipment. Ensure forklifts are presented in a clean and professional condition. Report any visible mechanical, hydraulic, or safety concerns identified during cleaning. Safely operate pressure washing equipment and utilize approved cleaning chemicals. Adhere to environmental and waste disposal procedures during cleaning operations. Skills and Abilities Required: Experience working on and maintaining golf carts Forklift operator certification or willingness to be certified Knowledge of battery-powered vehicle systems Experience troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems. Ability to safely operate power tools and maintenance equipment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
