Golf Course Turf Maintenance Department General Labourer
The Port Carling Club is located on 270 acres of land nestled in the rugged Canadian Shield of Muskoka, situated in the beautiful town of Port Carling. The course boasts rich deciduous and coniferous forest surrounded with granite outcroppings, streams and lakes. The unique, 18-hole championship course was designed by Thomas McBroom and is one of the most spectacular and picturesque clubs in Muskoka. Port Carling Golf Club is Muskoka’s premier private club that exceeds members’ expectations on a daily basis.
The Port Carling Golf & Country Club offers a fun, interactive, friendly atmosphere in a team oriented work place. We work together to achieve common goals that can be seen and appreciated every day. Come enjoy working in the outdoors, being active, admire the sunrises and picturesque scenery along with taking advantage of the beautiful Muskoka summer weather.
We are currently seeking motivated and energetic individuals, who are interested in joining our team to assist in all facets of the maintenance and upkeep of the golf course. This position will include a variety of landscape, grass cutting and sand trap maintenance jobs which include, but are not limited to:
· Mowing of playing surfaces (greens, tee’s, approaches and fairways)
· Detail work (push mowing, string trimming etc.)
· Course setup (changing holes, moving tee blocks etc.)
· Maintenance of bunkers (raking, weeding, edging, flymowing etc.)
· Raking/backpack blowing of leaves and other debris
Qualifications
· Must be punctual for early morning start times
· A positive attitude and willingness to learn
· Physically able to perform laborious duties
· Able to work in a range of outdoor weather conditions
· Must work well in team oriented environment
