GOLF TEACHING PROFESSIONAL
Position Overview:
Newcastle Golf Club (NGC) is the premier golf destinations in the Hunter Valley / Newcastle region. Ranked Number 30 in Australia (Australia’s Top 100 Golf Courses – Australian Golf Digest Magazine 2022/23). We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Teaching Professional.
The coaching position will be a commission-based contract. The successful candidate will report to the Director of Golf, Andrew Bowles, and will play a key role in the delivery of golf coaching services & development programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Private Tuition & Group Coaching: Provide private lessons and group coaching sessions for club members and visitors.
Junior Golf Program Coordination: Manage and assist in the delivery of the club's junior golf program, including clinics, representative teams, and communication with junior members and their families.
Teaching Facilities Maintenance: Ensure that the club’s teaching facilities are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness, tidiness, and presentation.
Key Attributes Required:
PGA Membership: Certified PGA Member, ideally with advanced status in Coaching and/or Game Development streams.
Golf Coaching Experience: Proven experience in coaching at a private golf club, with a focus on delivering high-quality services to members and guests.
Junior Program Experience: Experience in designing and running introductory golf programs for juniors and adults.
Customer Service: Exceptional communication and customer service skills, with a professional attitude and excellent personal presentation.
Technical Skills: Competence in using golf coaching technology and familiarity with computer systems and POS (Mi-Club).
Team Player: Strong work ethic and a willingness to contribute positively to a collaborative team environment.
Facilities:
State-of-the-Art Equipment: Access to modern coaching and practice facilities, including a indoor academy with state of the art technology, driving range, short game area & 18 hole golf course to support your coaching delivery.
Compensation:
Coaching Commission Rates: Negotiated individually with the successful candidate.
Hours will be available in the Golf Shop either casual or part time bases.
