The East Geelong Golf Club, founded in 1923, is located in the Eastern Gardens precinct of Geelong on Corio Bay. The course is a 9-hole parkland layout with multiple tees providing a challenging 18 layout for Members and Green Fee players. Fairways and greens are protected by several bunkers and the course is irrigated via an extensive automatic system. The club also has a small practice facility and putting green.
The East Geelong Golf Club, following a period of growth and renewal, is recruiting for a Superintendent who will conduct all aspects of golf course maintenance. This will include turf management and presentation, ensuring irrigation systems remain fully operational, management of equipment and machinery and applying leaderships skills to supervise a 3rd year apprentice and volunteers.

To be successful for this rewarding and challenging role, you will have:
- A Certificate III or Diploma Equivalent in Turf Management;
- Experience in management of golf greens, fairways and tees;
- The ability to problem solve and fix irrigation issues;
- Extensive product knowledge and certificate for the application of chemicals;
- Knowledge on the correct use and basic maintenance of all associated course equipment and machinery;
- Excellent communication skills to ensure positive internal and external stakeholder relationships are created and maintained;
- Leadership skills to lead both staff and volunteers;
- Ability to drive change and improvement; and
- A keen eye for detail with the ability to identify and solve problems quickly and efficiently.
- Be driven and self-motivated;
- Passionate about the golfing industry; and
- Have an enthusiastic 'can do' attitude to succeed and surpass expectations.
