Who you are...
- You are detailed orientated
- You understand golf course maintenance equipment
- You understand irrigation and equipment related
- You possess a Valid Oregon Driver’s License
- You are energetic, inspiring and adventurous
- You have strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- You are available to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- Directly oversee golf course maintenance operations, personally ensuring that the golf course is presented in the finest condition possible
- Attend or host team meetings as needed to maintain open and honest lines of communication
- Oversee day-to-day activities of the team, providing regular guidance and direction; prepare weekly work schedules and communicate daily assignments
- Perform a daily inspection tour of the golf course, walking each green if possible
- Manage and control budget expenditures
- Maintain up-to-date, accurate records of all fertilizer and pesticide applications, including hours worked
- Perform, or at least have a strong working knowledge of all course maintenance team member job duties
- Develop detailed plans for future improvements to the golf course
- Advise the Director of Golf and/or GM of any situations or conditions that may affect customer satisfaction and/or golf course quality
- Participate in the interviewing, selection and on the job training of new employees
- Oversee the career progression, learning and development of direct report team members
- Remain abreast of industry trends and changes that may affect or enhance the offerings and/or profitability of golf operations and/or the resort
