Benefits: Employee discounts About the Role: The Wilkes-Barre Golf Club, located in Bear Creek Township, PA is seeking a skilled and passionate Golf Course Superintendent to lead the maintenance and agronomic operations of our golf facility. We are seeking a motivated hands-on Superindentent to lead all aspects of golf course maintenence and grounds operations.This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to make a lasting impact on the playing experience for our members and guests and who takes pride in their work and committed to being a motivated team leader. Responsibilities: Oversee all turf management and agronomic programs including fertilization, irrigation, and pest control Manage and supervise golf course maintenance staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling Maintain greens, fairways, tees, and rough to the highest playability standards Operate and maintain course equipment, ensuring proper repair and preventive maintenance schedules Develop and manage the golf course maintenance budget and procurement of supplies Coordinate with golf operations staff to minimize disruption during play Ensure compliance with local environmental regulations, including pesticide application and water management Requirements: Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License Proven experience as a Golf Course Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent Strong knowledge of turfgrass science, agronomy, and irrigation systems Pennsylvania pesticide applicator license (or ability to obtain) Experience managing and leading a grounds maintenance crew Familiarity with golf course equipment operation and maintenance Strong organizational, communication, and budget management skills GCSAA certification or related degree in agronomy/turf management preferred About Us:
