Role Description The Golf Course Superintendent is a full-time, on-site role based at Edgerton Towne C.C. in Edgerton, WI. This role oversees all aspects of golf course maintenance, including turf care, irrigation systems, landscape upkeep, and the safe application of fertilizers and pesticides. Qualifications
- Strong turf management skills, including knowledge of grass species, fertilization, and soil health.
- Experience in golf course management, including planning maintenance programs and supervising grounds crews.
- Proficiency with irrigation systems, including operation, troubleshooting, and water conservation practices.
- Hands-on experience in landscape maintenance to maintain bunkers, greens, fairways, and surrounding areas.
- Knowledge of pesticide application, including safe handling, regulatory compliance, and integrated pest management.
- Relevant education or certification in turfgrass management, agronomy, horticulture, or a related field preferred.
- Ability to operate and maintain golf course equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and train staff.
- Willingness and ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed to meet course demands.
- Understanding of budget management and record-keeping for maintenance operations is beneficial.
