We are looking for a highly skilled and qualified Golf Course Superintendent for our Northeast Georgia location. The Golf Course Superintendent (GCS) will report directly to the General Manager and works closely with the Club Professional staff to ensure the 18-hole golf course is maintained in a consistent and professional manner. The Superintendent works to ensure that the golfing experience for Members and Guests meets or exceeds the Clubs Standards.

The GCS is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of all areas of the club including: 18-hole Golf Course, practice facilities, and clubhouse grounds and other recreational facilities.

The GCS must be a highly communicative and dependable leader. He must ensure consistent focus on priorities, goals and objectives that have been mutually established and reviewed in conjunction with the DGA and GM.

The GCS must also be a true team player, well-respected by those that work for and with them, and have a strong track record of working in cooperation with the other members of the leadership team to provide an exceptional member experience.

The GCS should be willing and able to regularly communicate with members in a friendly and professional manner.

The Golf Course Superintendent is responsible for the planning and supervising of the maintenance of the golf course and assuring that it is in the finest possible playing condition at all times regardless of the season.

This position requires a thorough and comprehensive knowledge of agronomy, chemical application, and knowledge of plants, golf course design, irrigation, construction, and operation/maintenance of large and small equipment. In addition, this position requires good knowledge of maintenance and operation of buildings, and other recreational facilities.

This position requires excellent management skills and the ability to lead by example; good written and verbal communication skills; good mechanical and civil engineering skills; and thorough knowledge of the game of golf.

Starting salary is $75,000, with higher compensation available based on qualifications and experience.
