GOLF COURSE SUPERINTENDENT

***Position begins in Spring 2024***

Cattail Crossing Golf & Winter Club features a beautiful 10,000 square foot clubhouse with virtual golf, dining areas, pro shop, snack bar, and kids club to accommodate the many needs of club members and guests.

The club offers a variety of golf services including night golf, aqua range, tournaments, events, corporate

meeting venue, private parties, winter activities, weddings and more! The Cattail Crossing Golf and Winter Club is seeking an enthusiastic and energetic individual to join our team.

Reporting to the General Manager, expectations, responsibilities, and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

Key Responsibilities:

-Work within Cattail Crossing's team policy both internally and at the management level

-Practice and enforce all aspects of Cattail Crossing's Golf Course Maintenance and Health & Safety Policy Manuals

-Assess the daily condition of the golf course and respond accordingly

-Maintain the golf course landscape to ensure growth of the highest quality golf course vegetation on site (grass, trees, wetlands, shrubbery, etc.)

-Oversee the care and maintenance of the greens, fairways and roughs

-Monitor the appearance and playing conditions of the golf course and address any issues with turf quality

-Responsible for seasonal start-up and shutdown of site grounds

-Participate in off-site or on-site meetings as needed

-Manage the training and supervision of grounds and maintenance staff

-Maintain buildings, equipment, and property

-Manage pesticide and fertilizer management practices

-Be able to calibrate, apply, and record fertilizer and pesticides.

-Have working knowledge of irrigation systems, controls, and repairs

-Maintain a clean and organized work area

-Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

-Possess a minimum of 2 years formal education, or degree or diploma in turf management

-Able to start early morning shifts as needed

-Must be available to work weekends and holidays if required

-Must able to complete assigned tasks and work unsupervised

-Possess a valid driver’s license and have a safe driving record

-The ability to work within a team environment is essential

-Knowledge and appreciation for the game of golf is an asset

-A positive attitude and strong communication skills are desirable

-Previous golf course or landscaping experience is required

-Ability to work shifts – days, evenings, weekends and holidays

-Some overtime may be required

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From $21.00 per hour

Experience:
  • Landscape maintenance: 1 year (preferred)
