About the role
The Oxley Golf Club Superintendent is a key leadership role, overseeing the management and maintenance of our renowned 18-hole championship golf course. What you'll be doing
- Developing and implementing comprehensive golf course maintenance plans and strategies
- Managing a team of greenkeepers and groundskeepers to deliver effective course maintenance
- Monitoring and analysing course conditions, identifying areas for improvement
- Collaborating with the club management team to ensure the course aligns with the club's strategic goals
- Overseeing the procurement and management of all course-related equipment, supplies, and resources
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations
- Providing technical expertise and advice to the club's general manager and board of directors
- Proven experience as a Golf Course Superintendent or similar senior role in a prestigious golf club
- Expert knowledge of golf course maintenance, agronomy, and turf management
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on maintaining high course standards
- Proficient in the use of course maintenance equipment and technology
- Degree in Turfgrass Management, Horticulture, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
