Under new management we are embarking on a new journey to create more unique guest experiences and offerings around golf and recreation. We’re on the lookout for a Golf Course Superintendent to lead this challenging but crucial role to improve and maintain our course in our new direction.

Looking in the windscreen and not the rearview mirror, this full-time role is perfect for someone who has experience in a similar position or worked as a 2IC, ready to take the next step in their career. It's not going to happen overnight but a great time to join the team given the vision and plans for the immediate and long term future.

You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day care of the course, overseeing a small team and working closely with the Golf Operations Manager to ensure the course remains in top condition year-round.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and implement all aspects of golf course maintenance

  • Lead a small team of grounds staff to maintain high presentation standards

  • Operate and maintain irrigation systems, mowing equipment, and other machinery

  • Monitor turf health and perform duties such as fertilising, spraying, and repairs

  • Work with the Golf Operations Manager to plan course setup and improvements

  • Report directly to the owner and provide regular updates on course conditions

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient working environment
About You

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a superintendent or 2IC on a golf course

  • Strong time management and organisational skills

  • Practical knowledge of turf maintenance and irrigation systems

  • A hands-on leader who takes pride in their work and leads by example

  • Flexible and reliable – able to adapt hours as needed depending on weather or events

  • Mechanically minded with a proactive attitude to course improvement
