Park Proxi Hotel Bowral is looking for a fulltime Golf Superintendent to manage the upkeep and maintenance of our 18-hole golf course.
Job Summary: As a Golf Superintendent, you will be responsible for maintaining the golf course greens, tees, fairways, and surrounding areas to ensure optimal playing conditions and aesthetics. Your primary focus will be on turf management, irrigation, and landscaping tasks to create a visually appealing and well-maintained golf course environment.

Job Summary: As a Golf Superintendent, you will be responsible for maintaining the golf course greens, tees, fairways, and surrounding areas to ensure optimal playing conditions and aesthetics. Your primary focus will be on turf management, irrigation, and landscaping tasks to create a visually appealing and well-maintained golf course environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Turf Management:
- Mow, edge, and maintain the golf course greens, tees, fairways, and rough areas.
- Monitor and adjust soil moisture levels to ensure proper turf health.
- Implement fertilization and pest control programs as directed by the Golf Course Superintendent.
- Operate and maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of the golf course.
- Monitor weather conditions and adjust irrigation schedules accordingly.
- Perform routine maintenance on irrigation equipment to ensure efficient operation.
- Plant, prune, and maintain trees, shrubs, and flowers around the golf course.
- Implement landscaping projects to enhance the overall aesthetic appeal of the golf course.
- Weed control and maintenance of flower beds and ornamental areas.
- Operate and maintain various grounds maintenance equipment, including mowers, trimmers, and aerators.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or issues to the Golf Course Superintendent.
- Rake and maintain sand bunkers to ensure consistency and playability.
- Repair and renovate bunkers as needed, including sand replacement and drainage improvements.
- Collaborate with the Golf Course Superintendent and other team members on course improvement projects.
- Participate in the construction and renovation of golf course features.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations while performing job duties.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements related to golf course maintenance.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in golf course maintenance or landscaping preferred.
- Knowledge of turf management practices, irrigation systems, and landscaping techniques.
- Ability to operate and maintain grounds maintenance equipment.
- Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality course conditions.
